Volvo is offering its American customers a cheaper entry level model for the S60 line-up. It’s called the T5 and is priced at only $30,795, which is $450 less than the previous base model and $7,000 more affordable compared to the initial top version.

"Now with less ugly!" isn't the greatest selling point, but revised styling really is the most significant change to the refreshed 2012 Acura TL. Although Acura is marking 25 years in the United States, there's not much new product beside the TL and the recently arrived TSX wagon to help the brand celebrate. That's okay, because Acura expects TL sales to jump 20 percent this year on the strength of its improved efficiency, quieter cabin, and of course, its new duds.

While not the most exciting vehicle, it's a good crossover alternative. Testing director Kim Reynolds logs, "This car's only problem is its design -- specifically, exterior design. It's amazing that, when many manufacturers can only dream of building cars of Honda's quality and excellence, Honda is struggling. For damn sake, Honda, hire designers!"

The Brabus 700 Biturbo, based on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, was officially revealed Tuesday at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

To fit the Mercedes SLS V8 engine, the German tuner’s engineers have created their own twin-turbo system that achieves an output of 700 PS (514 kW / 690 bhp) and 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of torque. The B63 bi-turbo system features a left-turning charger attached to the left side of the engine, as opposed to the more common right-charging, right-side fitted twin-turbochargers. Improved gas flow and dynamics are the result of this style of fitting.

Just as we always do, we arrived around 8 a.m., set up the ol' radar gun and began to make passes down California Speedway's new drag strip. No big deal, just another day earning the bacon.

Since it was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, we've seen the Dodge Caliber concept evolve into the closer-to-production model we caught on our way to work this morning. The 2007 Caliber keeps the familiar Dodge styling, with trademark crosshair grille, wide sculpted wheel forms, big 19-inch wheels and tires, broad shoulders, and bulging hood for a proud, powerful stance. Its yellow paint is certainly not subtle, either.
