Mini will showcase two new vehicles on its display at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California this week. First up is the Mini Inspired by Goodwood we previewed back in April. The second is the new Mini Coupe – and its first U.S. public showing.

The Auto Express spies have caputured photos of a 1:4-scale clay model of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class ahead of the full-size version’s reveal later this year.

Mercedes-AMG, the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, and La Martina, the maker of polo equipment and apparel, are joining forces to create a limited-edition polo shirt to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami. The shirts are being sold in conjunction with the AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup with 100 percent of the proceeds going to BBBS, and a goal of raising a total of $15,000 in support of the cause.

Mercedes-Benz USA and The Conservation Fund announced Wednesday a keystone investment in The Conservation Fund’s ShadeFund program, a new charitable endeavor to raise donated capital that will provide small loans to green entrepreneurs.

Infiniti is preparing to enter a new market segment with the launch of the JX crossover, a 7-seater luxury model. The company hasn’t revealed many details on this concept as of yet, and apparently they are not going to until the vehicle makes its official debut at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. A production version will be revealed in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but the vehicle won’t be going on sale until Spring 2012 as a 2013 model.

Saturn announced today at the North American International Auto Show that production will may begin as soon as 2010 on a plug-in hybrid electric version of the Saturn Vue Green Line, expected to be the first regular production plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Depending on a consumer’s drive cycle, the Vue plug-in hybrid will be the most fuel-efficient vehicle offered by a major automaker.

Jaguar’s 75th-anniversary festivities include enjoying “featured marque” status at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which the company commemorated by displaying a tricked-out, one-off XJ it calls the XJ75 Platinum Design Concept.
