From the ’Better Late Than Never’ file, Hummer unveiled today a version of the H2 that runs on E85 ethanol fuel. The car brand known for being a fuel hog is getting greener. The H2 can actually run solely on E85 ethanol, gasoline or any combination of the two fuels. Other GM flex-fuel vehicles currently on the road are only able to run up to 85 percent ethanol (E85).

So much is different about the first production plug-in hybrid that we have loads of questions: How do you "break in" an engine that may serve only occasional use? (Succinct owner's manual answer: "The vehicle does not require a break-in period.") What's its real-world battery range? (So far: 22-30 wintry miles.) How does its climate-control system work in extreme temperatures? (Better dress for the weather.) Is it worth the money? (Not if you crave only net cost savings.)

The SLS AMG GT3 will shortly be embarking on its first racing season, when Saturday, 2 April 2011 sees the start of the new VLN season (Nürburgring Endurance Championships). The BRABUS 800 “iBusiness” represents the world premiere of a unique luxury sedan that combines the expected high performance from BRABUS and high-tech multimedia. The 217-mph sedan is based on the Mercedes-Benz S600 and is powered by a BRABUS SV12 800 V12 Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine with 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW and a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft). But there is far more to the “iBusiness” than what’s under the hood. The rear compartment is stocked with two Apple iPads, two seat-mounted multimedia screens, a 64GB iPod Touch and a 15.2-inch headliner-mounted Mac display. Not only can these products be used for personal use, but the two iPads also control the car’s Command system, encompassing the radio, navigation and telephone systems. The whole Apple setup is powered by an ultra-small Mac Mini in the trunk that is housed in an electronically deployed drawer.

Gordon Murray, chief design engineer behind the McLaren F1 and several championship-winning Formula 1 cars, has revealed his microcar. The T25 is a demonstration for a new-car construction method. He says his new method can take 25 percent out of a car's weight, whether applied to a sedan, sports car, or minivan of any given seating capacity, without compromising safety.
