We're barely 10 miles into our test-drive of the 2007 Saturn Sky roadster and we already like it better than its Pontiac Solstice cousin. Why are we so sure? Because Saturn set up the test-drive 450 miles north of our office, in the wine country of Napa, California, so instead of spending two hours in an airport and one hour at 30,000 feet we jumped into our long-term Solstice and drove up. Two hours into the seven-hour drive we knew the Pontiac's hits and misses. By the time we arrived in the historic town of Healdsburg, we could draw the tread pattern of its tires in our heads.

The C-Class Coupe, which is celebrating its world premiere, is just as remarkable as the new-generation C-Class sedan and station wagon for its driving fun and outstanding efficiency. In keeping with their sporty character, the new C-Class models were introduced by players from the women’s German national soccer team. A further highlight of this year’s “Geneva Salon” is the third iteration of the SLK, which redefines the roadster experience while consuming up to 25 percent less fuel than its predecessor. Making its debut on the eve of the show was the new top-of-the-range version of Mercedes’ bestselling model range – the C 63 AMG, which generates up to 358 kW (487 hp) and consumes around ten percent less fuel. The inventor of the automobile is also presenting the SLS AMG E-CELL, which makes its European motor show debut in Geneva.

No, that's not a typo. The latest design exercise from Mercedes-Benz, set to make its debut at this week's 2010 Beijing Auto Show, is in fact called the Shooting Break concept. That's 'Break,' not the more traditional English 'brake' normally reserved for two-door, wagon-styled, coupe-based hatchbacks originally designed for hunting trips. But perhaps that's because this isn't that type of car.
