First Audi TT-RS delivered in U.S.
Priced from $56,850

The Audi RS lineup has officially returned to America as veteran racing driver Don Istook has taken delivery of a 2012 TT-RS.

While the name may not ring a bell, Istook was one of the first people to race an Audi Quattro in the United States. According to the Istook, "I like my street car to give me some of that thrill. With my new Audi TT-RS, I not only get that thrill but I also get that 'race car' sound."

As we have previously reported, the $56,850 TT-RS features a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the 3,306 lb (1,500 kg) coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.
