A Vettel-Webber 1-2 at the Turkish Grand Prix highlighted the dominance of Red Bull in the ongoing 2011 Formula One season...Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were P1 and P2 on the starting grid after qualifying, however, Mercedes GP's Nico Rosberg, who was on P3, overtook Webber at the start. With the Pirelli tires' short life, more pitstops mean teams have a chance to play pitstop poker and try to gain track position over rival cars. Towards the end of the race, Vettel had maintained his lead over the rest, but it was Ferrari's Alonso who was scorching the track and managed to move up to 2nd place, with just a few laps remaining. But Webber put in a late dash that saw him overtake Alonso, to get the dream finish for the Red Bull racing team.

Vettel won the race with Webber coming in a close 2nd. Alonso had to settle for 3rd place, but Ferrari will be happy that they have a podium finish now, and can push ahead to challenge Red Bull even more. McLaren's Lewis Hamilton came in a strong 4th, while once again Nico Rosberg outperformed his high profile team mate Schumi, to take the 5th spot. The 6th to 10th places were taken by Jenson Button, Nick Heifeld, Vitaly Petrov, Sebastien Buemi, and Kamui Kobayashi.

Vettel extended his lead in the driver's championship, and now has 93 points. Hamilton has 59, Webber is on 55, Button on 46, and Alonso has just 41 points. As far as the constructor's title goes, Red Bull are comfortably placed on top with 148 points, followed by McLaren with 105, Ferrari with 65, Renault with 42, while Mercedes completes the top 5 with 26 points.

Vettel has now won 3 of the first 4 races of the 2011 Formula 1 season, and Red Bull simply look like the best team with the fastest car on track. Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes will all be trying to catch up, but it won't be easy. However, they will have to get their act together sooner than later, as Red Bull seems to be running away with things.
