No. It's been a year already? Can't be. Then the realization sets in. After 12 all-too-short months and 20,022 miles on the odometer, it's time for the M3 to go home. Panicked, the pleading begins. Then the bargaining.
Anything we could to do hold on to our car for just a little longer, to feel one more embrace from the seats, to experience one more blast to redline, was fair game. Maybe I'll grab the keys and run. Mexico isn't that far...

The first-generation E30-series BMW M3 wasn't the fastest M3 ever built. It certainly wasn't the most luxurious or the most refined. But it was the smallest, purest and, in the opinion of many, the most dynamic M3 from a driver's perspective. And it's the E30 M3 that BMW attempts to channel with the new 1 Series M Coupe.
Consider the 1 Series M Coupe's dimensions. Measuring 172.4 inches from nose to tail, the car is just 1.3-inches longer than a 1988 M3. Of course, the M Coupe is wider by 4.8 inches, has a longer wheelbase by 3 inches, and is heavier by several hundred pounds (3296 compared to the 1988 M3's 2800-pound curb weight). Still, compared to the current 3700-pound M3 coupe, the 1 Series M is a lightweight.

It's a car. It's a hatchback. It's a crossover. It's a wagon. It's all of them. Or is it none, one, or a few? Well, we know BMW's funky 5 Series Gran Turismo is a hatchback, at least when hoisting its two-piece rear liftgate. Raise just the integrated trunklid, and it's more sedan.

When styling comparisons are made between a vehicle and the Pontiac Aztek, that's trouble. Executive editor Edward Loh fantasized that, if the Aztek had survived for two more generations, the third-gen might have looked like the 535i GT. He also found that the GT was easy to drive, but lacking some of the traditional BMW tightness, rigidity, and steering feel.

In his Danish-tinged English, Henrik Fisker was thinking big as he cut into his steak "America needs a true premium car to compete with Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Cadillac hasn't done it. And that car must be environmentally responsible, too -- and it should come from California." His glance around the dinner table was greeted with approving nods.

Then the X3 will reach 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, matching your Speed3.

Luxury tuner, Mansory, arrived at the Geneva Motor Show with vehicles such as the Siracusa and the Cormeum, two heavily modified sports cars based on the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Mercedes SLS AMG.
