Once a buyer has settled on a model and secured their new car loan, it's usually a great few months. Getting a new car is a bit like getting a new toy when you were younger, and everyone loves that new car smell. However, not every driver ends up being happy with their vehicle.

2013 Morgan EvaGT - Car News

Morgan, a company perhaps best known for not introducing new cars, showed off a new car just outside the Pebble Beach Concours and promises to bring a new car to market every two years. At this point the Morgan EvaGT is a concept, but the production version will be the first of Morgan’s ambitious product push. Morgan is even taking orders for the 2+2 sports car, and says it will enter production in 2012.

Aspen is 281 miles from Durango, Colorado. It's as posh as Durango is down-to-earth. Among the ski resort town's celebrity residents are Don Henley, Mariah Carey and the late Hunter S. Thompson, while Durango's foremost citizens are only famous within the mountain biking world.

If you asked us to name the one thing that made the Chrysler 300 an overnight success, we wouldn't point you to its rear-wheel drive, its retro styling or its Mercedes-Benz mechanicals. No, it's the fact that Chrysler took a risk: The company bet real money that real people would spend their real money to buy this stylish, agile and unconventional sedan, and it paid off.

Automotive manufacturers have tried it several times over the years. The practice was a matter of survival for some (Audi), and for others it was a schizophrenic fit of badge-swapping and marketing spin. Most of them regretted doing it. Volkswagen changed the name of our beloved Rabbit to the Euro-market Golf, to Rabbit, and back again to Golf. More recently, Ford tried changing the name from Taurus to 500 and back to Taurus. Whoops.

Chrysler is on a mission to prove that their 300 is a car worth producing and apparently they think their path to success includes a series of different variants at the 2011 New York Auto Show. Next to the 300 SRT8, Chrysler has also brought the 300C Executive Series, a model designed to become the most luxurious Chrysler flagship sedan ever. The new edition will be offered with ultra-premium leather, world-class refinement and handling, and state-of-the-art safety and connectivity features. The new edition will go on sale in Fall 2011.

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

Chrysler is up and running with its last attempt to make their 300 even the teensiest bit successful on the market and just a few months after the 300 sedan hit the ground running at the Detroit Auto Show, the company has now brought the 300 SRT8 (Street and Racing Technology) - the most powerful version in the line-up - to the 2011 New York Auto Show.

The ultimate Chrysler lead sled is back in business and badder than ever. Returning with a new look, more power, and updated technology features, the all-new 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 coming to the 2011 New York auto show is the latest creation from Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology squad. As it's done with 300s past, the SRT team has taken an already solid package and made it faster, meaner, and even a smidge greener.

The first decade of the new century has not been kind to the Chrysler Corporation. Left bloodied and beaten first by a laughable “merger” with Daimler, then forced into bankruptcy by an abrupt and ill-played takeover by Cerberus Capital, a Federal bailout was only offered because of an eleventh hour lifeline from Italy’s Fiat. Fast forward two years and for the first time Auburn Hills is starting to show signs of life.

Chrysler Sebring is dead; long live the Chrysler 200. At least that's what Pentastar folks would like you to think.
Why? Because they know you previously have only considered a Sebring when standing at a rental car counter in a Sun Belt state. And while it may be an acceptable "upgrade" for the weekend, you have never seriously considered one for your own garage.
And as much as Chrysler wants you to consider its mid-size offering alongside the likes of Camry, Accord, Altima, and Fusion, it knew that couldn't happen when the badge said Sebring.

The golden crest is gone, but the Chrysler name is still spelled out and surrounded by a pair of wings atop the front-grille frame. The eggcrate grille has been swapped for one composed of sculpted horizontal slats, as seen on the Chrysler 200 and Town & Country (and, unfortunately, the Hyundai Sonata). Projector-beam headlights have evolved to incorporate must-mean-it's-luxury LEDs.

The minivan segment isn't known for drama, but Chrysler's update of the Town & Country in the nick of time is about as close as it gets. Due to the advent of the excellent new Toyota Sienna and the even more freshly rebaked Honda Odyssey, the languishing Town & Country's game clock has been rapidly winding down to its last precious seconds. Is Chrysler's Hail Mary minivan a game winner? Honestly, no. A game-changer? Well, yes, at least in the sense that an overtime reconsideration of the trio of family boxes from Chrysler, Toyota, and Honda, now definitely seems in order. (The game is made even more interesting with appearance of the new Nissan Quest).

To hear Chrysler tell it, the 2005 300 was the most awarded new car in the history of wheeled vehicles. Whether that's the case or not, it sets a dauntingly high bar for the 2011 car. Perhaps it's appropriate, then, that the car wears a new set of wings on its hood.

Go ahead. Swoon over the deep burble and ample torque emanating from the 300C's big V-8. We can wait. When you're done, reality is waiting with the V-6-powered 300. Don't fret. While the base car may lack the degree of silliness that comes with a 363-horsepower family sedan, it makes up with a commonly overlooked but crucial element: value.
