Be it blind passion or just a mere oversight, Lotus failed to notice that their new concept bared a strong resemblance to their Evora model, so the company is putting the concept on hold indefinitely.

Audi's RS division, which all but ignores the U.S. market, is keeping busy. It just released the RS3 in Europe, and next year will launch the new RS4. Most of its mechanicals come from the RS5, including a naturally aspirated V-8 engine making 444 horsepower at 8250 rpm. It feeds a crown gear center diff that's able to send torque forward or backward according to programmed maps, making the car feel oversteery and driver-sensitive. Transmission is a seven-speed S-Tronic twin-clutch. Active variable-ratio steering will be optional. The bodywork will incorporate extra aluminum compared with the regular A4's, and be available in sedan and Avant variants.

The very first spy photos of the all new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series have finally hit the web.

Taking cues from its fellow Black Series models, the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe has wider wheel arches and looks a little lower to the ground than the series C63 AMG Coupe. While the spies were able to look under the hood, it was inconclusive as to what specific engine is under the hood.

Previous reports showed the 5.5-liter V8 biturbo, currently seen in the S63 AMG with the AMG Performance Package, which is tuned to produce 571 PS (420 kW / 563 bhp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. As a Black Series engine, it is speculated to produce in excess of 600 PS.

It was on 29 January 1886 that Carl Benz filed an application in Berlin for a patent on his three-wheeled motor car. Ever since, that day has been considered the official birthday of the motor car, which, in 2011, celebrates its 125th anniversary. Porsche will unveil the next-generation 911 (991) at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but that doesn't mean the current model (997) is going away anytime soon. Case in point, the company has just announced a series of upgrades for the 2012 911 GT3 R.

First and foremost, the model gains a revised 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an optimized intake system. This enables it to produce 500 PS (368 kW / 493 hp) - an increase of 20 PS (15 kW / 20 hp).
