Ford Focus RS slated for a comeback
Could have 380 PS (279 kW / 375 hp)

We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Focus ST, but a new report is indicating there's something better in the pipeline.

Speaking with Drive, Gunnar Herrmann - Ford's Global C-segment Platform director - confirmed the company is developing a new Focus RS. He was relatively coy on details, but stated the model would have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp) to 380 PS (279 kW / 375 hp). Additionally, Herrmann said the car would continue to be front-wheel drive, but will have the Revoknuckle suspension system which helps to minimize torque steer.

The Focus RS will likely be launched as 2013 model, so stay tuned for additional information.
