It appears a facelift for the Clio RS is in the works.
Spotted in the photos here on track at Paul Ricard Circuit, the RS features an updated look that brings its styling in line with the updated Clio range. That includes the reshaped head and tail lights from the standard Clio but also some special RS touches that serve to make the RenaultSport anew. Those features are newly styled front and rear bumpers, a blacked out mouth at the front and alloy wheels with a dark finish.
No news yet on any tinkering under the hood. The current RS features a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder with 197 hp. Renault will likely keep that configuration, holding off on any upratings in power or a new engine until the next generation is due.
The new RS may or may not make it to Geneva next week, where Renault will be putting on display the entire facelifted Clio range.
The Geneva auto show begins next week on Tuesday March 3rd.
