Seat was the World Touring Car Champion in 2009, taking both first and second place (Gabriele Tarquini in the first place and Yvan Muller in the second). "The ride is comfortable and the interior is well isolated, especially for the price. Steering feel is pretty good and the brakes bite well. The shifter isn't my favorite; it's a bit ropey, and second gear is temperamental, but it's far from the worst I've driven.
"The quality of build, design, and materials all around is great considering the price tag. It's hard to believe this car costs only $24,000. A competitor would easily add several thousand dollars onto that. I'd love it if Suzuki would offer a real sport model with just a little more power. This is so close to being a legitimate compact sport sedan, but the engine just doesn't quite have enough in it. For what it is, it works great."

In a July 2010 comparison test, we pitted the new 5.0-liter 412-horsepower 2011 Ford Mustang GT against the more senior (and more powerful) 426-horse 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS and 425-horse 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8. The final results were quite unexpected. The least-powerful car won, and the most powerful came in last -- a finishing order that inverted the power rankings.

The current Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is a bit to large to really compete with the BMW 3 Series and Audi A5, but Mercedes-Benz is now entering into competition with the 2012 C-Class Coupe. A closer look reveals that it is in many ways a revival of the old CLK-Class. With the new C-Class Coupé, Mercedes-Benz enters into a new market segment by offering a compact, classic coupé. The sporty two-door car has been unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and will now make its way to customers starting in June.

Stand behind the 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL320 CDI and you won't notice anything out of the ordinary, which is exactly why you should be impressed. Look at the badge on the rear hatch. It contains the letters "CDI." Those three letters mean this is a diesel-powered SUV — the second diesel-powered Mercedes SUV to be sold in the U.S.

You might dispute whether Volkswagen is a premium brand or not, but few could dispute whether the Touareg is a true premium SUV. Based on a platform shared with the Porsche Cayenne, this off-roader runs with the best; modesty was never its strong point. In Europe and Asia, there is a gasoline W-12 version, rated at 450 horsepower, and the V-10 TDI with its 310-hp engine producing 553 pound-feet of torque was the king of diesel SUVs until its sibling, the Audi Q7, changed the rules with a titanic 500-hp V-12 TDI with 738 pound-feet of torque.
