New Mini Coupe, Goodwood On Display at Pebble Beach
Mini will showcase two new vehicles on its display at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California this week. First up is the Mini Inspired by Goodwood we previewed back in April. The second is the new Mini Coupe – and its first U.S. public showing.Mini Inspired by Goodwood

Mini turned to its rich corporate uncle Rolls-Royce’s development team for the Mini Inspired by Goodwood, which features an interior and exterior design crafted from the same fine materials and workmanship as the ultra-luxury brand. The exterior comes in the Rolls-Royce-exclusive color of Diamond Black metallic and 17 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Mini’s Reef Blue metallic is optional. The interior is wrapped in Rolls-Royce’s exclusive Cornsilk Beige color featuring fine materials such as lamb’s wool, cashmere, Walknappa leather, burr walnut veneer and Piano Black controls.

All Mini Inspired by Goodwood models are powered by the same 181 hp turbocharged 1.6-liter inline four cylinder from the Cooper S mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

As we reported earlier only 1000 of the limited edition Minis will be produced and Mini has officially announced a mere 140 will be available to U.S. customers priced from $52,700 before options.

Mini Coupe

Mini claims the new Coupe – the company’s first three-box design and mass-produced two-seater – “radiates the brand’s hallmark go-kart feeling with a whole new depth of intensity and achieves the best performance statistics ever recorded by a volume-produced MINI.”

The Coupe offers the same three engine options as the regular Cooper: the 121-hp naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four cylinder, the 181-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter S model and the 208-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter John Cooper Works version. Mini claims the Coupe with the John Cooper Works package is the quickest and fastest Mini ever built with a 0 to 60 mph run in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph. Base prices range from $22,000 to $31,900 depending on engine choice.
