The new model year is upon us, bringing the darlings of the last auto show season to our local dealers and driveways. The dominant themes are fun and versatility, often taken together. Numerous new models are recasting successful predecessors, like the Mazda MX-5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class, while others look to a more distant past for inspiration, such as the Jeep Commander and Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Seat UK announced the launch of the special edition Exeo Tech and Exeo ST Tech (the Spanish version of the Audi A4) that join the existing Exeo models versions; S, SE, Sport and SE Lux.

Seat unveiled a new special edition for the German market. Based on the three-door Ibiza SC, the Sport Limited Edition will be painted in "Lumina Orange" and will be limited to only 300 units. The new Ibiza SC Sport Limited is priced at ?20620.

Seat was the World Touring Car Champion in 2009, taking both first and second place (Gabriele Tarquini in the first place and Yvan Muller in the second). To celebrate that success the Swiss division of the Spanish maker has unveiled the special edition Seat Leon Cupra R 310 WCE. There will be only 200 units built, each priced at 32,310 Euro.

As we were saying yesterday, all of the news lately has been about football. Even in the automotive industry! For example, if England has its very own customized Pagani Zonda, then why can’t Germany get its own Seat Leon Cupra R tuned by JE Design and Kobia?

Like with any other model in Seat’s line-up, the new generation Ibiza has also received an Ecomotive version. It will be available for 5-door, SC, and ST models and will go on sale in September.
