Mercedes-AMG, the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, and La Martina, the maker of polo equipment and apparel, are joining forces to create a limited-edition polo shirt to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami. The shirts are being sold in conjunction with the AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup with 100 percent of the proceeds going to BBBS, and a goal of raising a total of $15,000 in support of the cause.

Mercedes-Benz is well-known for its diesels. Back in 1936 it introduced the 260D, the world’s first passenger car powered by a diesel engine. However it also boasts an impressive reputation for advance technology. At the New York Auto Show in April 2009 it unveiled its latest hybrid project, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML 450 Hybrid. It is the latest expansion in its ML sport utility line, and it makes the ML the first vehicle in the world to offer gasoline, diesel, and hybrid alternatives.

In celebrating the brand’s 70th anniversary, Jeep is rolling out special edition models for each of their SUVs. That’s right, all you Jeep-loving folks out there! Jeep has a special edition model coming out for the Compass, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Patriot, and Wrangler SUVs.

An all-new Saab 9-3 is still several years away, but in the meantime, the newly independent Swedish automaker will unveil its revised 2012 9-3 line at the 2011 Geneva auto show.
